Justification
This species has a limited distribution range and has an extent of occurrence (EOO) of 6929 km ², and an area of occupancy (AOO) of 40 km². It is known from between five to eight locations. Its habitat quality and number of mature individuals are declining as a result of livestock (sheep and goat) overgrazing and illegal collection for the succulent plant trade. It is potentially threatened by prospecting for uranium mining at some locations. It is therefore listed as Vulnerable under criteria B1ab(iii,v)+2ab(iii,v).
